1. How many cameras can l add to my HomeBase?
Supports up to 4 cameras
2. What is the HomeBase station used for?
① Provides built-in 32G memory, all events can be stored in it, and it will be cyclically overwritten when it is full.
② It is used for networking with the router; the camera and the HomeBase are paired with a good relationship, the same as the HomeBase is a Wi-Fi relay, so the location of the camera will not be affected by the installation location of the router. The HomeBase is always online. It will be faster to wake up the camera to view the live stream.
3. Is it a 24 hour recording or motion triggered?
It is motion-triggered and to reduce power consumption, it will record and send phone notifications when someone/something triggers an event;
4. Can I view recordings remotely?
Yes, as long as the device is online and the phone is connected to the home Wi-Fi network or using mobile cellular traffic, you can view it.
5. Is it possible to use these cameras without Alexa, just Google on a PC or tablet?
Yes. It is possible to use the cameras with our app and we support Alexa and Google's audio control to use the cameras.
6. Ideal distance between camera(s) and HomeBase
Our cameras can be placed up to 180m from the HomeBase, but the signal can be affected by walls and appliances. The closer the better, so try to place them as close to the Homebase as possible.
7. Can the camera be connected to a NAS, ONVIF, TV, RTSP, NVR or DVR?
It supports mobile phones, tablets, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Android, iOS, but is generally not compatible with PCs, such as computers, laptops and TVs. It also does not support HDMI connection.
8. Can I use the USB port on HomeBase to expand my storage?
HomeBase has an embedded eMMC storage of 32GB. This hardware storage cannot be upgraded.
9. How long can I store video on the 32GB?
In most cases: HomeBase can store video events for almost 2 months if a camera records a maximum of 30 events per day.
